Let's get to know each other! The first step in this process is meeting with each other face to face to discuss the concerns you may have as a prospective client and how I may be of assistance to you
Phone & Email Support
I am here for you. The moment that you sign the contract, you have me available via phone or email to support you with whatever questions you may have related to pregnancy, birth, hospitals, tests etc. I am no medical professional, but I will do my best to help you research topics so that you can feel confident in your informed choices. Your birth. Your choice. Empower your mind; Use your voice.

2 Prenatal Visits
Included in the fee are two prenatal visits. We will meet around 32 or 34 week for your first visit and discuss things like your fears and concerns, medical history, birth plans etc. At the end of our appointment, I will offer my contract, and the retainer fee will be due upon signing the contract. The second visit will be more in depth. We will discuss what has been happening at prenatal appointments, what to expect during labor and how to cope during the early stages of labor etc.
About 3 weeks before your estimated due date, I will be on call for you. I will not leave the metro area and I will be available by phone or email 24 hours a day. We will meet to discuss this and the rest of the fee will be due at the conclusion of that meeting.
As a Doula, I Do Not:
Perform any clinical tasks
I am not a medical professional. I will not perform any clinical tasks such as performing cervical checks or fetal monitoring. This is out of the scope of my practice and is a job that should be left in the hands of medical staff.
During labor
Its showtime!! There are many stages of labor and each stage has different levels of intensity. I will be there to support every step of the way. From phone support while I am making my way to you, to in person support from the time I arrive until the baby's first feeding. I will use different techniques like massage, aromatherapy, visualization, vocalization and that's just to name a few. I will do my best to keep you grounded so that you can remain present during the birth of your baby.
Baby’s first feeding Support
After the baby is born, I will remain with you until feeding has been established and both you and your baby are situated and comfortable. Congrats! YOU did it! Enjoy the sweet smell of your new bundle of joy!
Postpartum follow-up visit
Within three weeks after your birth, I will do a follow up visit to check on you and the baby and discuss your feelings and help you process the birth.
Make decisions for you
As a doula, it is my job to support you by helping you research and educate yourself on all things that you may be concerned about. This way, you will be more than prepared to make informed decisions. I want you to be empowered. Advocate for yourself! You deserve to have your voice heard, make informed choices and have those choices respected.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
It is not up to me to be your voice. I can bring things to your attention and try to create a smooth line of communication between you and the staff, but you have to be the one to say what it is that you want or need and I will be here to support you.
Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience
This is your birth. I will support you in whatever decision you want to make. From natural and cesarean births, to planned inductions and the use of epidurals. Its your choice and I am here to support you through it all! You will find that I have methods of support no matter how you choose to labor and birth and I hope that you will be satisfied with the support you receive.
