Hi there!
I am Aquiona and this is my blog! (Yay!) So, I am 29, a wife, a mom of 5 and just became a student doula or doula in training (pick one). I love playing video games, watching anime, drawing and pretty much anything else that allows my to express myself creatively. I like to call myself an artisan hooker (of crochet, that is... get it? Crochet hook? Hook the yarn? Nevermind.) Anyway, I like to call myself an artisan hooker because I love the art of crochet and creating things. A couple friends said I should start selling the things that I make and I thought that was a brilliant idea, so here I am! Combining all the things I love, labor doula-ing, crocheting, and writing and attempting to turn it all into a business. I didn't mean for things to be connected like this but it feels right so it must be meant to be.
I hope that this blog turns out to be successful along with the other things... doula practice, and crochet brand. Sometimes people don't know that they are sitting on a gem and then all of a sudden they have a following and they never expected it. I am hoping this will be the same way. So here is to my humble beginning!
Help me make this page great! I am accepting clients who are in need of doula support in New Yorks Metro Area, preferably the Brooklyn area. The fees for doula services are no joke. I would love to provide my services for free, but this is going to be my way of life and my services have value. No laboring person should have to give birth alone without support though. I would like to encourage you to look up the benefits of having a doula. Check out the doula difference. And then if you find it in you heart to do so, make a donation. Why? Because your donations could pay a doula fee for a person in labor in need of support. Your donations could pay for the tools and materials that I will need to provide support for the laboring person. Your donation could help me cover the transportation costs to get to a laboring person in need of support.
The funds will be put to good use. So contribute to the greater good if you feel inclined to do so!
And that marks the end of this blog post. My first blog post! I hope you enjoyed it and there will be many more to come.
Blessings!

Hi Alycesandra! I must say this whole journey is exciting! A doula would have come in handy for you I'm sure, but hindsight is always 20/20, right? Lol as far as the question of if it's too late, you never know! There are women nowadays that are birthing babies well into their 70s! And remember Sarah from the Bible was well into her senior years and she birthed a healthy baby boy! Thanks for your support! Hope to see you on here again! Thanks for joining the community!
Hey, You make it all seem sooooooooo exciting, I wish i could’ve had a Doula. 3 scarry experiences behind me. If I ever need Doula service I will definitely contact you. BTW, is it too late for me, I’m turning 66 next month .lol. If it’s a little late for me. i’ll just make a donation. Thanks for the great inspiration. i’ll pass it on!
